Modification du chronogaphe "Chrony"
Inutile d'acheter l'upgade Master et le duplicata coûteux afin d'avoir le tableau de bord avec l'écran LCD à portée de main sur la table de tir! Voici quelques instructions simples (comment j'ai fait):
a/ Se procurer 8m de câble plat 6 brins colorés en magasin électronique et une boite à savon ou similaire pouvant accepter la carte/écran LCD
b/ Dévisser le senseur optic avant et la carte/écran LCD
c/ Couper les fils sortant des lecteurs optiques.
d/ Souder logiquement la rallonge en s'aidant du code couleur en respectant un décalage entre chaque soudure afin d'éviter un contact court-cicuit intempestif. Bien isoler avec du "heat and shrink".
e/ Découper une encoche dans le flanc de la boite à savon afin de laisser sortir les cables. Garnir la boite avec du tissus protecteur, y placer la carte/écran de manière à ce qu'elle soit lisible dans le couvercle ouvert (vertical). Un petit objet lourd contre-poids (plomb de roue) dans le fond de la boite l'empêchera de se renverser en arrière sous le poid de la carte/ écran.
f/ Revisser le lecteur optique avant. Ajouter une plaque acier protectrice sur l'avant de l'appareil maintenant aveugle (en cas de flingage intempestif dû à une erreur de parallaxe lors d'un tir avec lunette (Accident fréquent!)
No need to puchase the expensive "Master" upgrade duplicate in order to have the display next to you on the shooting table. Here is how I did it:
a/ Get 8m of 6 stands flat cable from Dick Smith or Radioshak and a soap box or similar box to accomodate the display.
b/ Unscrew the front optic sensor and the display card.
c/ Cut the cables from the 2 optics to the display.
d/ Solder the extension cable following the color code leaving a lag between each solder to avoid unwanted contact in case the insulation came off some some unknown reason. Insulate with "heat and shrink".
e/ Cut a notch in the side of the saop box to let the cables out. Line the inside with protective fabric, place the card/ display in a way that you can read it in the lid when open. A small heavy object (wheel weight) in the bottom will help keep it stable when open.
f/ Replace the front optic sensor in place. Add a steel plate in the front of the now blind Chrony to protect it against an unwanted shooting! (In case of parallax error when using a scope, a common accident!)
